ZFA condemns Hamas rockets
The Zionist Federation of Australia strongly condemns Hamas and other terrorist organisations operating in Gaza for firing over 300 rockets at Israeli civilians over the course of a few hours.

Jeremy Leibler, President of the Zionist Federation of Australia, said: “The incessant rocket barrage from Hamas terrorists in Gaza overnight our time has taken its toll on the communities in Israel’s south. The almost constant shriek of sirens with a mere 15 seconds to run to the safety of bomb shelters is causing serious and long-lasting trauma to families across the south of Israel.
We send our support to the communities in the south. We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the violence and terror which is being perpetrated on Israeli civilians by Hamas. We hope that this conflagration, with Hamas firing more rockets than any time since Operation Protective Edge in 2014, will be resolved before the escalation results in yet more tragedy.
We send our deepest condolences to the family of Lt Colonel “M” who was killed yesterday in the course of duty and wish a speedy recovery to those soldiers and civilians who have been injured.”
The Zionist Federation of Australia calls on the international community to immediately condemn these attacks and to hold Hamas accountable for these cowardly acts of terror.
