Your ABC has found the rockets
J-Wire published a report from Honest Reporting earlier today revealing that Australian broadcaster ABC had not mentioned in a news bulletin the total number of rockets launched by Hamas against Israel.
This is what they wrote
At least five rockets fired from Gaza were shot down over Tel Aviv by Israel’s Iron Dome defence system, army radio reported.
But what’s missing from the rest of the story?
How about the hundreds of rockets fired from Gaza (some 500 since 2014 began) that led to this military operation?
A reader/viewer lacking in background may conclude that with the number of rockets in single digits and clearly harmless, having been shot down, the danger is negligible.
How could ABC leave out possibly the most important and vital statistic of the lot?
But following the HR and J-Wire reports, the ABC news item was changed to read
“Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to ramp up a campaign against Gaza Strip militants that has killed at least 40 people in two days.
Israeli warplanes and helicopters have so far hit 550 targets in the Palestinian coastal enclave while Hamas militants have fired more than 200 rockets into Israel.”
Thank you for adding the rockets, ABC.
The world’s media and our ABC are only interested when Israel finally reacts and the pictures of Arab mass rioting appear and the number of dead ‘civilians’ can be quoted,- not when the Arabs goaded Israel for months by sending their rockets over and over to them.
Sorry guys of the ABC,- thankfully no casualties in Israel for you to report! Brain will win out over brawn.
No need to “thank” the ABC, au contraire. I dont understand why the Jewish community is actually not suing them for blatant anti-Jews/Israel bias; their “news-reports” seem to be written by the pro-Arab/Palestinian lobby – and in Waleed Ali they certainly have an extremely subjective (to remain polite) “expert on the middle East”.
ABC and SBS are basically completely one-sided , their news repeatedly show
running, screaming young Palestinians, carrying the same “corpses” and the same crying children.
Do we have a television or radio station which is not one-sided ?
The answer is NO at this time
How do go about being heard ? Surely A way can be found that Israel’s position is being publicised.
Why don’t you do a spell check before placing your reports on J-Wire?
Thank you Annette
