State parliamentarian Ron Hoenig has written to Sydney’s Emanuel School as it embarks on a new year on the results it achieved in the 2013 HSC.

Hoenig, in a letter to school principal Anne Hastings, said: Achieving a ranking of 25th in the State for a non-selective school is remarkable and over 50% of the students receiving an ATAR over 90 is simply exceptional.”
He added that Hastings, her staff and the school board could be “very proud” of their achievements.
