YOM KIPPUR

Ray Williams

New South Wales (NSW) is now home to nearly 37,000 people of Jewish faith who contribute positively to our cultural diversity.

I am pleased to wish everyone observing Yom Kippur this year in NSW an easy and meaningful fast.

This Day of Atonement reminds us to not only take stock of our shortcomings but to also reflect on our ability to change and grow, to lead a life of meaning and to make a difference in the lives of others.

I thank the Australian Jewish community for its commitment to interfaith dialogue and building and maintaining social harmony in NSW.
