The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies held three events to mark Yom HaShoah.

A remembrance ceremony was held at the Martyrs’ Memorial at Sydney’s Rookwood Cemetery.

The celebrated children’s writer Morris Gleitzman spoke at two events about children and the Holocaust, one in the city’s Eastern Suburbs and at Masada College. Popular singer Lior performed at both locations.
