The Zionist Council of NSW has celebrated Yom Ha’azmaut at Sydney’s Moriah College.

Heading the entertainment celebrating Israel’s 68th birthday was the talented Israeli musical group Voices of Samuel named after an Ethiopian Israeli member of the IDF who lost his life serving his country.

Israeli ambassador Shmuel Ben-Shmuel joined ZCNSW Richard Balkin in addressing the very large crowd attending the event.

A mini-fairground was set up in the Moriah grounds as well as a raft of community focused stalls including one manned by Gift of Life Volunteers.
