Yet another hate video
Another video made by anti-Jewish group Hizb Ut-Tahrir has been published on the organisation’s website.
Victor Dominello, NSW Minister for Minister for Citizenship and Communities, Aboriginal Affairs, Veterans’ Affairs and Assistant Minister for Education, said: “The emergence of another Hizb Ut-Tahrir video, featuring an antisemitic tirade from Sydney-based Ismail al-Wahwah is deeply disturbing.
The freedom of speech that we enjoy in Australia is precious and we cannot allow it to be abused in this way. Hateful and derisive speech has no place in our harmonious multicultural society.
I welcome the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies’ decision to refer an earlier video in which Mr al-Wahwah seeks to vilify Jewish people to the Anti-Discrimination Board for investigation pursuant to the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977(NSW).
I have today written to the Anti-Discrimination Board to bring this most recent video (posted online on 3 March 2015) to its attention and asked that it be considered concurrently and expeditiously.”
At a Harmony dinner attend by 1400 guests, NSW Premier Mike Baird emphasised how important it was for all groups to show respect for each other and condemned the hate-filled speech of the video.
NSW Jewish Board of Deputies chief executive Vic Alhadeff commented: “This has nothing to do with Israel and is in the same vein of Islamic extremism and incitement to violence that IS peddles. It is another wake-up call for the authorities to act before these hate-preachers inspire the next Man Monis.”
Tachlis, what has been the response from the Anti Discrimination Board to the representations from the NSWJBD.
Will Mr Wahwah be charged will a criminal act?.
What actions will be taken against Hizb Ut-Tahrir?.
Vile, hateful, evil.
But we need to be clear that some of what he says is directly from the Quran. Example Surah 98.6 “The People of the Book … shall burn in the hell fires for eternity. These are the vilest of creatures”.
Islamic teachings in the Quran and Hadiths have more anti-Semitic sentiments than Mein Kamf!
If this hate filled speech does not lead to criminal prosecution, then why not? Few would disagree that this may lead to violence against Jews. It is too late when they are already dead. Freedom of speech needs to be trumped by more important laws, duties and obligations of a justice system to protect all of the citizens of the country. We need to keep our eye on the ball, and not drop it due to distractions of PC and pussyfooting about the truth.
