Based on the overwhelmingly positive response to our program last year, the Sydney Jewish Writers’ Festival (SJWF) is holding a one-day program on 1 September, highlighting the recent works of authors of Jewish and general interest.
International guests include acclaimed French author of HHhH, Laurent Binet, who will be featured in a pre-event on the evening of 29 August, his only public event in Sydney.

Israeli author Michael Bar-Zohar, the author of over 35 books and one of Israel’s foremost experts on espionage, will also be speaking on terrorism and the Mossad. He recently wrote Mossad: The Greatest Missions of the Israeli Secret Service.

Another Israeli guest is Boaz Bismuth, author, former diplomat and Foreign News Editor for Israel’s largest newspaper, Israel Hayom.

Confirmed Australian authors for our 1 September program include:

Dr David Bird, Jess Dee, Prof. Bryan Gaensler, Andrea Goldsmith, John M Green, Dr Kooshyar Karimi, Nikki Stern and Dr Christopher Waters.  Moderators include Caroline Baum, Michaela Kalowski and Dr Norman Swan.

The program will interest a broad audience with sessions on terrorism, sex, Nazi appeasement in Australia, Middle East politics and a number of fascinating In Conversation sessions.
