Applications are invited by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, for the position of Research Assistant.  Responsibilities include: providing research assistance to the Executive Director and Office Bearers; assisting in the preparation and drafting of submissions to government and other documents; upgrading and maintaining an electronic library; helping to establish and maintaining an organisational presence through social media; and assisting with the production of an e-news letter.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to, the Australian Jewish community and a basic understanding of the major issues of concern to it; personal integrity; initiative; research ability; internet skills; good computer skills including Word and Excel; familiarity with social media; excellent organisational skills; ability to communicate; and an eye for detail.

Flexible hours. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
