The World Jewish Congress today denounced the social-media hate campaign, reportedly launched by Hamas supporters, to ridicule the three Israeli youths kidnapped by terrorists last week.

“This disgusting campaign shows that the totalitarian death cult is alive and well in Palestinian politics,” said World Jewish Congress CEO Robert Singer.

“The exploitation of children is central to this style of politics, which seeks to indoctrinate young people into crime and murder. These are the same people who send out their own children strapped with suicide belts to blow up cafes, after all,” he added.

The campaign, called the “3 Shalits,” a reference to former Hamas captive Gilad Shalit, features Palestinian children holding up three fingers to mark the three abductees. The three-fingered salute has spread in Palestinian and Arab social media and even to Youtube, according to The Times of Israel. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, meanwhile, denounced the kidnappings and offered his security forces to assist the Israeli Army in its efforts to find the youths.
