Sydney Jewish community personalities Ernie Friedlander and Jeremy Jones are among the Australians of diverse backgrounds whose portraits are included in the exhibition “We All Bleed the Same”, a series of 39 photos by leading Sydney photographer Tim Bauer.

The multimedia exhibition was the brainchild of Sydney journalist and human rights activist Liz Deep-Jones, who says “I was motivated to create and produce this exhibition which features 39 inspiring people from varied backgrounds, religion and race, sharing their stories to create greater understanding to live in a more inclusive and peaceful society.”

The subjects share their stories on video (some having fled persecution and war) about their diverse cultures and experiences with racism in their home Australia, ‘The Lucky Country’.

The exhibition is currently at the Stirrup Gallery in Marrickville. It will also feature at the Head On Photo Festival 2021 in Sydney in November, the Canberra Writers Festival in August and at the ANU Research School of Social Sciences, courtesy of the Freilich Project and regional galleries across the country and in 2022, the Being Human Photo Festival at the Turks Head Gallery in Albury.
