Waiting for December
The 2014 Walkley Awards have shortlisted “Code of Silence” in their documentary category.
Made by Sydney’s Dan Goldberg and Melbourne’s Danny Ben-Moshe, the announcement that the film had made it into the last three describes it as ” a fight for an investigation into allegations of child sex abuse at an Orthodox Jewish boys’ school in Melbourne. The film makers gained extraordinary access to some of the key players as the drama unfolded and used interviews and actuality to craft a gripping narrative. As the case against the abusers continues to make news, the documentary is both timely and ground breaking.”
The documentary was choses along with “Cronulla Riots: The Day that Shocked the Nation” and “Love Marriage in Kabul”.
