I agree wholeheartedly by the comments made by Dr Wodak. The Cannabis Prohibition does indeed affect the blue collar workers, the socially disadvantaged and does affect permanently relationships, work, travel etc. I believe it would be wise in the near to longterm future to legalise Cannabis to prevent the “criminal” implications fuelled by criminals and Police who supply this drug from being transferred to our so-called ‘underclasses’ which is just another devious attempt by our government and society, at discrimination and punitive measures against the average poor schmuck who seeks to escape the harsh realities of poverty, toil and the inability to rise above their station in life.

I do not endorse the encouragement of heavy drugs, nor alcohol or cigarette smoking as we can all see all around us, the debilitating, souldestroying effects and social destruction these incur. But I see no harm in making Cannabis legal and available medically to those 2 million Australians who currently actively choose, struggle to obtain, risk fines and imprisonment etc to have their daily smoke. It would make life so much easier and more normal for many people and be more cost effective.

In fact, it would be nice if I could add Cannabis (a very pretty plant by the way!) to my herb garden as an interesting medicinal display. We should all be allowed to grow any plant we like, provided we are not supplying it en masse illegally.

We should all have the freedom to enjoy the best that Nature can afford us, managed properly and enjoyed in a safe environment.

While we’re at it, we should stop the deforestation in the Amazon and other jungles and rescue for our future health, ancient plants and trees with as yet unsourced “cures”. Hashem gave us the world to live in and to nurture so we could benefit from it. Even good old Cannabis.
