Manny Waks gets out of lockdown quarantine after flying from Israel to Melbourne to be present for Malka Leifer’s court case.

As the pre-eminent advocate for the Tzedek and Kol V’Oz organisations, which he founded in Australia and Israel, Manny is himself a victim of child sex abuse.

The 2014 Documentary “Code of Silence”, made by Dan Goldberg and Danny Ben Moshe’s Identity Films , won a Walkely Award. Manny’s book “Who Gave You Permission”, published in November 2016, came out after the 2015 Royal Commission into the Institutional Response to Child Sex Abuse. Another Documentary, “Breaking the Silence” was released in 2021.
