“These laws send a clear message to the community and reflect a positive change of culture within both the Government and communal organizations which will further ensure that mistakes of the past will not be repeated”

Pointing to the RCV’s involvement in the Victorian Inquiry as well as the Royal Commission, Rabbi Kluwgant highlighted the importance of the religious leadership speaking out on abuse, “The RCV has been working with both state and federal Government to assist in stamping out abuse within our community for once and for all, and is in the process of ensuring all Shules in our community have child protection policies in place that meet the highest possible standard of accreditation currently available in Victoria”
