UIA e-cards gives all the opportunity to celebrate Passover with dignity
This year, the Jewish People are fighting for our very survival. Thousands of our people have been displaced, injured and killed in our homeland. The war is not over and a state of emergency continues.
Let all who are hungry come and eat
כל דכפין ייתי ויכול, Kol dichfin yeitei v’yeichol
This Pesach, instead of or as well as of taking a box of chocolates or another salad with you as a gift for your Seder- night host, you can give others a chance to celebrate Pesach with dignity. Consider sending an e-card.
But there is something else that is different: we are. Unlike other times in our history, today we have a strong diaspora. A united diaspora and a reliable, supportive diaspora that the People of Israel can turn to. As the months since the atrocities of October 7 pass on, the full scale of Israel’s challenges is becoming clear, requiring long-term, national solutions to rebuild lives and strengthen communities. We know that we can call on you, our generous supporters, to help the People of Israel in this time of need.
From preschool days to our present times, we have been reciting these iconic and historic words at every Pesach Seder. But before we can take that first bite of Matzah, we open our homes and hearts, reciting the words of the Hagaddah that invite “all who are hungry [to] come and eat.”
While these words are inscribed into Jewish history and tradition through the Hagaddah, they are, in fact, a commandment inscribed into our identity – to care for those who do not have the same good fortune as us.
This year, as the People of Israel once again face enemies that seek to destroy us, the needs of those less fortunate remain a priority. Many of the families that rely on UIA-supported projects like Youth Futures are single-parent households and/or face unemployment, addiction, immigration challenges and unstable housing situations.
With your support, UIA will be assisting these families by arranging for food packages to be delivered to their homes. All funds raised from the purchase of e-cards will go towards this initiative.
With approximately 500 families in need and a cost of $250 per food package, your contribution will go towards the People of Israel who need us most.
Thank you for remaining steadfast in our mission to support the People of Israel. Our role is to respond to crises and continue building a stronger, more resilient Israel for the future. Every initiative we support operates at a national scale, ensuring lasting impact across the country.
