Sydney community kitchen has received a citation from the UIA….United Indian Associations.

Celebrating the Indian Republic day which coincidentally falls on the same day as Australia Day, the UIA has earmarked Our Big Kitchen for the “Life Time Community Award” flagging an acknowledgment and thank you for its contribution to the Indian community.

The awards were presented at a function on Friday evening in Lidcombe, Sydney…just when Our Big Kitchen’s CEO Rabbi Dovid Slavin was enjoying his Shabbat dinner with his family in Bondi.

“I was very proud to receive this award”, Rabbi Slavin told J-Wire. “It clearly represents the presence Our Big Kitchen has in the wider community.”

The Indian UIA represents 19 organisations in Australia.
