UIA AGM Hears the Latest from Ha’aretz
The United Israel Appeal NSW held its Annual General Meeting this week.
Fentahun Assefa-Dawit, Stanley Roth, Basil Reichman, Stephen Cordell, Aluf Benn, Penny Hurst, Bruce Fink,Marcia Kresner and Danny Taibel
Over 220 people attended the AGM where guest speaker Aluf Benn, Editor of Haaretz newspaper enlightened the audience in his address on the situation in Israel and what lies ahead in the coming year.
UIA NSW President Bruce Fink said in his report he was thrilled with the brilliant results of the 2010 Campaign and thanked the community for their continued dedication and support of Israel and the UIA. The Campaign raised over $21.2 million and will go a long way towards helping UIA projects which aim to strengthen Israel’s social and geographical periphery.
Honorary Secretary Jonathan Caplan announced the Cabinet members for 2011. There were no contested positions and Bruce Fink will continue as President for his fourth year.
On the previous night the UIA NSW held their North Shore Briefing with over 150 in attendance.
