The pristine white walls of Sydney’s Martin Place station have been daubed with a message calling for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to be “1st in the oven”.

A passerby alerted to the ugly message stating “Turnbull Goldmans Jewboy in Oz 1st In Oven” referring to prime minister’s time working at bankers Goldman Sachs.

The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies contacted Sydney City Council as soon as it became aware of the vandalism and requested that it be removed.

“Racially-motivated vandalism has no place in civil society,” Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff said. “All well-meaning people should condemn such incidents and those who engage in this despicable behaviour. We hope the authorities find those responsible.”

The offending graffiti was removed later in the day.
