Two new B’nai B’rith Retirement Villages team members
Sydney’s B’nai B’rith Retirement Villages recently welcomed two new members on its Management team.
Norbert Schweitzer, is a well known Sydney lawyer was welcomed as a new Director and Board member, and Leon Fredkin who has become General Manager for both the Princess Gardens complex in Rose Bay and the Kadimah Gardens campus in Wahroonga.

Norbert is a lawyer and founding partner of Schweitzer Kobras, Lawyers and Notaries.
An accredited specialist in business law, he was admitted to practice in 1972.
He is experienced in a wide variety of legal work ranging from corporate, business and property law to estates and succession planning.
He has been actively involved over the years in both the Jewish and general communities, being a former chairman of the Silver Committee of the Royal NSW Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (of which he is a life member). He is a member of the Dean’s Board of Advice of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a director of the Schizophrenia Research Institute as well as a foundation director of the Swiss-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also holds various non-executive directorship roles in a number of companies.
Norbert was a Board member of Emanuel Synagogue, Woollahra for 25 years, as well as serving as President. He is now a life governor.
He is a member of a number of legal associations, as well as the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Leon Fredkin
Born in the USSR, Leon is married with 3 children and has lived in Australia since 1967.
He is a member of North Shore Temple and follows a number of sporting and recreational pursuits.
He completed his schooling at Randwick North High, the graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor degree in Building (majoring in Quantity surveying). Additionally, he has completed a number of specialist short courses.
During his career in the building industry he has held Project Management roles in various large developments, notably Manager of the Homebush Bay Redevelopment Project, and with responsibilities connected with many other notable large developments and development companies in NSW.
