Two Israelis were murdered and two severely injured when shot by a terrorist Thursday morning, at the Givat Asaf Junction between Beit El and Ofra, near the northern entrance to Ramallah. The attack is the second deadly shooting in less than a week.

According to first responders, a car carrying the terrorist approached the junction. The terrorist exited the vehicle, walked to the bus stop and opened fire. Two victims were pronounced dead on the scene. Two others were treated and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, one in critical condition.

The four victims—three men and a woman—are all reported to be in their early 20s.

The latest attack took place a little more than a mile away from a bus stop where seven Israelis were shot on Sunday night, on the last night of Hanukkah.

Two of the wounded in that attack were Shira and Amichai Ish-Ran, a newly married couple expecting their first child.

The baby boy, named Amiad Yisrael (“my eternal nation Israel”), was delivered at 30-weeks gestation after Shir Ish-Ran underwent an emergency Caesarean section at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He died on Wednesday and was buried that night.

The wounded parents are recovering from their injuries.
