Turmoil at The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies?
CEO Darren Bark has been placed on leave, according to The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies, causing speculation within the NSW community as to his future.
The Australian has reported that “officials have apparently approached long-serving former CEO Vic Alhadeff to return as his replacement”.
But Alhadeff told J-Wire: “I have not been offered the role of CEO, and there is nothing more to be said.”
Meanwhile, there is a cloak of silence surrounding the officialdom at the Board with President David Ossip messaging J-Wire “as The Australian article notes, Darren is currently on leave. There is nothing further to add.”
Darren Bark has been in the position of CEO for over two years. He has not responded to phone calls or texts.
At the time of writing, there has been no media release from the Board.
The Australian reported that Bark’s employment has not been terminated as yet and that there are legal proceedings in place.
