Tribute for Jeremy Spinak in NSW Parliament

The member for Vaucluse Gabrielle Upton has given notice to the NSW Parliament she will put a motion tomorrow recognising the passing away of Jeremy Spinak, the Immediate Past President of The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.

Upton is the Minister for Environment and Heritage and Minister for Local Government.

 Her motion:

Madam Speaker I shall move that this House:

1. Notes that the immediate past President of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, Jeremy Spinak, has tragically passed away following a short illness from a rare form of cancer
2. Jeremy was generous, level-headed, self-deprecating, and an exemplary and forceful community advocate for the Jewish and broader community
3. There were many ‘wins’ for his community under his leadership
4. On behalf of the NSW Government, I extend heartfelt wishes to Rhiannon, his young twins Grace and Mike, his father Richard, his mother Margaret and his extended family
5. Jeremy, we will miss you
