A woman found badly injured in Sydney’s Hakoah Club during Monday’s power blackout has died in hospital.

80-year-old Rebecca Aramati was found in the club’s car park, suffering serious head injuries, by club manager John Cormio, making an emergency procedure search with torches in the darkness. Cormio told J-Wire: “She was conscious but distressed.”

Cormio called the ambulance and administered first-aid to the injured woman while waiting for it to arrive.

Club president Phil Filler told J-Wire: “I am deeply shocked and saddened. She had been a member of the club for over 28 years and was a well-known regular.”

Rebecca Aramati, who lived in Dover Heights, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where she died this morning.
