Hundreds of people gathered around the Sydney Opera House forecourt to celebrate a public Chanuka  menora lighting, with the Harbour Bridge  in the background.

Organised by CBD Chabad and Yisroel Kevman of Southhead Youth, the event was a first for the Opera House. One of the participants wrote :
“Just wanted to say a big Yishakoyach to Rabbi Dovid Sebban of CBD Chabad for a very meaningful powerful lighting of the Menorah right next to the Iconic Sydney Opera House, if that wasn’t a publicising of the Chanuka miracle  and Jewish Pride then I don’t know what is. I felt very proud to be part of such an event.”
