The Yellow Piano – You Are Not Alone
In Sydney tomorrow – Friday 23 August from 10:00am – 5:00pm StandWithUs and Together with Israel bring the The Yellow Piano and its message of “You Are Not Alone” to our community, inviting the public to engage with the piano.
The Yellow Piano installation is an initiative of the family of Alon Ohel, a talented 23 year old pianist kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival. Alon’s family placed the first yellow piano in Hostage Square, Tel Aviv. The Yellow Piano installation has visited New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris and now Sydney. Come for an hour or the day to send Alon, all the hostages and their families our love, support and strength through music. You are not alone!
At midday we will pause for our weekly reading of the remaining 109 hostages names.
There are still a few spots left. To register your interest in playing the piano, click here. We will arrange 15-minute time slots for each participant.
10am-5pm at Guilfoyle Park Double Bay
Please join us in this day of Music for Alon and the remaining 115 hostages. Through music, let’s send them love, strength, and the reassuring message that they are not alone.
What a beautifully creative idea! My prayers that like ‘The Song of Names’ the music from The Yellow Piano’ will become a lasting voice for all those dear Israelis who were cruelly forced into captivity, so their plight will never be forgotten. Josephine Ruth Petrovic. [email protected]
