Read on for article

The Jewish Comedy Showcase is back with a stellar line-up of the best Jewish comedians at Sydney’s The Comedy Store.

Crowd favourite David Smiedt hosts an outstanding line-up of some of the most exciting Jewish comedians in Australia featuring Ben Ellwood, Robyn Reynolds (UK), Jess Fuchs, and headliner Michael Shafar.

David has opened for Joan Rivers, Mark Watson, and Martin Short. He has delighted international audiences with his warm, inclusive comedy for more than 12 years.

Michael Shafar is the headline act, a true talent in the Australian comedy scene. A RAW National Finalist, Michael has more than 10 million views on TikTok. He has appeared on ABC’s Comedy Bites, Triple J, hosted Channel 31’s The Leak, and regularly writes for The Project. His darkly funny humour, drawing from his own experience with testicular cancer, has made him a hit on the festival circuit.

The support acts feature Ben Ellwood, a seasoned comedy writer and master of improvisational comedy; Jess Fuchs is a rising star, a hilarious Sydney-born comedian who put in her 10,000 hours of stand-up in New York City; loveable Brit comedian Robyn Reynolds, Best Comedy Nominee at Sydney Fringe. Both Robyn and Jess have debut solo shows at the Sydney Comedy Festival this year, Robyn Reynolds: Mermaid and Jess Fuchs: Wisdumb.
