The day-long event at Sydney’s The Great Synagogue promises inspiring speakers, a variety of interactive discussions, and fun activities.

The program has been designed by women, about women, for women and invites women from all Jewish communities, at all ages and stages of life to come and bring a friend or family member and men are very welcome.

WOW is an initiative of the past Great Synagogue Vice President Caroline Lewis and was developed in 2018 as part of The Great’s 140th anniversary celebrations. The day has become so successful that it has since become a highly anticipated annual event around town, leaving attendees each year with their cup refilled.

This year WOW, which coincides with ‘International Day of Friendship’, will bring together women with a common goal: to laugh and learn, to share ideas and sing, to meet and make new friends, and to inspire and be inspired.

Caroline Lewis said: “Women of Worth” brings together women of all ages and backgrounds into a shared fullday experience. We design the program for ‘WOW’ people, hearing extraordinary stories from extraordinary people. The content is relatable, funny, and moving, via panels, discussions, activities, and interaction interspersed across the day. It’s the perfect way to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones.

The event will be held at The Great Synagogue Sydney on Sunday 21 July 2024., using multiple spaces throughout the day so that attendees can appreciate the entire heritage building.

Caroline added: “It’s a fully catered day so come and enjoy a yummy morning tea, a delicious lunch, an elegant afternoon tea, and there’s wine and chocolates too!

All women from across the Jewish community are invited to book, and with only a few weeks to go, book in now, so you don’t miss out – and bring a friend.”
