The Great Parade
Sydney celebrated Lag Baomer with a great parade starting at Bondi Beach wending its way to Barracluff Park.
Over a thousand people followed the Royal Australian Navy Band as it marched along Campbell Parade which was temporarily closed off to traffic.
Event organiser Rabbi Elimelech Levy told J-Wire: “We started with speeches at the beach with many dignitaries in attendance including local federal MP Malcolm Turnbull and State MPs Gabrielle Upton, Ron Hoenig, Walt Secord, and Bruce Notley-Smith.”
There were 11 floats followed closely by Yidden on Wheels, a Jewish motorbike group plus vintage cars and mounted police.
The marchers were welcomed at Barracluff Park on a perfect day by clowns and entertainers…
