Israel’s ambassador to New Zealand has cast the first vote of the upcoming elections due to be held on September 17.

Itzhak Gerberg started the election process in the Wellington embassy.

Israelis abroad are not entitled to vote but diplomatic staff as well those working for UIA, JNF and the  World Zionist Organisation, as well as their families, are permitted to vote.
