The ambassador visits Palmerston North

Israel’s new ambassador Ran Yaakoby has made his first official visit outside of Wellington travelling to the city of Palmerston North.

Accompanying Ambassador Yaakoby was Lisa Martin, the  Economic and Trade Affairs representative in the embassy.  They were welcomed by Mayor Grant Smith and International Relations Manager Toni Grace of the Palmerston North City Council

During a series of meetings with business leaders and innovators, they learned about the world-leading research being produced by the region’s AgTech and FoodTech industries

Ambassador Yaakoby also attended and participated in a moving opening exhibition for The Children’s Holocaust Memorial at Te Manawa Museum of Art, Science & Heritage organised by the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand.
