The 50th anniversary of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce attracts a world-wide audience
Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison opened the virtual Australia-Israel Innovation Summit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
Over 750 attended the virtual summit from seven countries.
The CEO of the AICC Michelle Blum told J-Wire: “I think the Summit was a great demonstration of Israeli style innovation and agility, as we pivoted from our traditional events and trade mission model to deliver this unique virtual summit and a wonderful new platform for connection between Australia and Israel. It was also a very fitting tribute to the AICC’s 50th anniversary and contribution.”
Fifty speakers participated in the Summit including 40 Australian and Israeli business thought leaders as speakers including Minister Karen Andrews, Robyn Denholm Chair Tesla, David Gonski, Sir Ronald Cohen and Shemara Wikramanayake.
All attendees were able to take advantage of the virtual setup by networking as they would have done on one of AICC’s live events.
A highlight of the Summit was a virtual exhibition of more than 20 Israeli hi-tech companies.
The event was closed by Israeli Minister for the Economy and Industry Amir Peretz.
