The Shin Bet on Saturday night revealed that Israeli security forces have caught the terrorists who murdered 17-year-old Rina Schnerb and injured her brother and father in a spring near Dolev in August.

Two terrorists were arrested days after the attack, and two more were captured several weeks ago, following further investigation by security forces.

Initial reports from the investigation of the terror attack concluded that the explosive device was left behind a rock and detonated remotely, and not thrown from a vehicle as was thought at first. The device was situated in a way that would maximize the harm to those present.

The three terrorists who actively took part in preparing the explosive device and detonating it were also involved in planning and committing several other terror attacks including shooting attacks and attempted kidnappings.

Security forces found another improvised explosive device while arresting the terrorists. They safely detonated the device on-site.

Another member of the terror cell who was also involved in supporting the terror attack has been arrested as well.

The terrorists were members of a terror group called The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and lived in villages near Ramallah in the Binyamin region.

Yisrael Ganz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council, commented on the successful arrest of the terrorists and called on Israelis to come visit the region during the holidays.

“We commend our security forces for the arrest of the terrorists who murdered Rina Schnerb at a spring near Dolev in Binyamin. I call on Binyamin residents and all of Israel to beat terror by visiting the spring and the rest of Binyamin during the upcoming holidays,” he said.
