On a recent visit to Norfolk Island, Rabbi Chaim and Judith Ingram visited Vaughan Nicol, the only known Jew on the island.

Vaughan’s maternal grandmother revealed to him that she was Jewish when Vaughan was 14 years old.

Vaughan is a passionate Zionist and displays an Israeli flag prominently on the desk of his office in the Burnt Pine area of the island from which he runs a real estate agency.

Rabbi Ingram told J-Wire: “Vaughan was proud and happy to don tefillin, with my assistance, for the first time in his life.”
