Greg Shapiro spoke on behalf of the other three nominees in his group, Alex Abulafia, Greg Shand and Associate Professor David Lubowski. He addressed the AGM immediately prior to the vote for new board members detailing views on the issues of renewal and succession. The Board, under the presidency of David Freeman had nine members who had held office for more than ten years.

All four members of the group, which had reduced its demand to the acceptance of two of them being conditional, failed in their attempt to gain a seat on the board.

However, following the election, president David Freeman told the AGM that in the new year some of the issued raised by Greg Shapiro in his statement would be addressed by the Board in the new year.

Trevor Pogroske was a board endorsed candidate for the Board replacing community stawlart Lou Levi  who decided not to run following ten years’ service to the Home.
