Sydney’s Monte wins award for hotel quality catering
Sydney’s Montefiore Home has been recognised for excellence, taking out the top award for service delivery in relation to its hotel quality catering services.
This prestigious industry award ceremony is one of the many activities of International Ageing Week and is held in conjunction with the annual Ageing Asia Investment Forum. Recognised as Asia Pacific’s premier industry awards night, the evening recognises innovations in delivering dignity, health and happiness to older adults. The Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards was created to provide an annual recognition to organisations in Asia Pacific countries that demonstrate eldercare innovation in their business, operational and service models to change the way seniors age.
Montefiore CEO, Robert Orie, paid tribute to the efforts of the catering services team. “Achieving excellence in service delivery is not possible without the dedication and commitment of the staff involved” he said. Robert also acknowledged the efforts of Susan Vickery, GM of Hotel Services, and her predecessor, Howard Kaplan, for their contribution. “Both Howard and Susan have held senior positions in luxury hotels and I am indebted to both Howard’s vision and Susan’s ongoing commitment towards the delivery of catering services that match that provided by the finest hotels”, he said.
The recent award adds to a long list of awards for Montefiore which includes seven Better Practice Awards from the Australian Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency for outstanding service delivery as well as the prestigious Property Council of Australia Award for innovation in design relating to the internationally recognised Randwick Campus.
