Nazi swastika daubed at child care centre
A swastika drawn on the gate post of a childcare centre in Sydney has raised the ire of The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
Although the Rose Bay centre is not a Jewish establishment, the majority of the children attending it are Jewish.
A spokesperson for the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies said they condemn “in the strongest possible terms” the daubing of a Nazi swastika outside a childcare centre.
The graffiti was noticed by centre staff yesterday and has since been removed.
NSW Police Force are aware of the incident and are reviewing CCTV.
Anyone caught displaying a Nazi symbol in NSW without a reasonable excuse can now face a maximum 12 months’ jail or an $11,000 fine, or both.
