Vaucluse MP Gabrielle Upton and State Labor MLC, Walt Secord were elected as chair and deputy chair, respectively.

The meeting was addressed by NSW Jewish Board of Deputies president Yair Miller.

Mr Secord said: “It was an honour and a privilege to be elected to the position.”

“It is important that the Jewish community and Israel know that they have support solid at the State Parliamentary level – especially in light of the recent BDS protests against Jewish and Israeli businesses in Australia.

“It was wonderful to see that there was bipartisan support for the Jewish community and Israel,” Mr Secord said.
