SUMMIT UIA: 2022 campaign promises events with a difference
UIA is to produce a five-night symposium with Israel’s finest speakers, icons and personalities, streaming live for UIA’s annual event, albeit with a little twist in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Where UIA used to bring the community together for one extraordinary communal event, Summit UIA will give the community the choice to join up to five incredible nights of engagement, education and entertainment, all in support of the People of Israel.
From Sunday 27 February to Thursday 3 March participants can join one night, three nights or all five in a series of UIA events like no other.
With our feet at home and our heart in Israel, there is something for everyone in this exciting lineup:
Sunday 27 Feb: Politics with a senior politician and member of Knesset (to be announced closer to the time)
Monday 28 Feb: Culture with movie star Shira Haas, known for her roles in Shtisel, Unorthodox and the Zookeeper’s Wife
Tuesday 1 March: Sport with Olympic medallist Linoy Ashram and former professional NBA player and first Israeli to play in the NBA, Omri Casspi
Wednesday 2 March: Global Jewry with Israel advocate, author and creator of the popular blog and podcast, “Israel from the Inside,” Daniel Gordis
Thursday 3 March: Security with Yossi Cohen, former Director of Mossad and instrumental negotiator of the Abraham Accords
UIA Australia Federal President Esther Frenkiel said, “UIA is proud to once again be on the cutting edge of what we offer our community. The line-up of speakers we have managed to secure, to be engaged from the safety and comfort of your own home and with such broad appeal is absolutely unique. We are so excited and hope that all parts of the community will join us for this extraordinary opportunity.”
UIA Australia CEO Yair Miller added, “We look forward to “seeing” you virtually at Summit UIA, which like these past two years, will be different. We know that our supporters value their connection to Israel and our people, so we have found a way to make sure that this is not compromised. We trust that our community will come together once again to show solidarity and unwavering support for our brothers and sisters in Israel.”
