The Leader of the Opposition will be joined both for the Shabbat service and the dinner which will follow it by fellow Liberal members Malcolm Turnbull [Wentworth – NSW] and Josh Frydenberg [Kooyong -VIC]

Studio Central director Hillel Fried, 27, told J-Wire: “This evening marks the launch of the 2012 series of Shabbat dinners designed for younger members of the community between 20 and 35. Mr Abbott wil talk at the dinner to more than 200…and we had to turn down a further 30.”

Abbott will speak on “The Contribution of Jewish Australians to our National Public Life”.

Fried said that the plans were to hold a similar dinner every six weeks.
