Steven Lowy to chair Keren Hayesod-UIA World Board of Trustees
Steven Lowy has agreed to become the next Chairman of Keren Hayesod-UIA’s World Board of Trustees.
After five intensive and very fruitful years, David Koschitzky will complete his term in May during the upcoming Keren Hayesod Annual Conference, following which, and after being elected in the Keren Hayesod Board of Trustees meetings in May, Steven Lowy will begin his term at the request of the international leadership of Keren Hayesod-UIA Jerusalem.
A statement released by Keren Hayeson-UIA reads: “The world family of Keren Hayesod-UIA is most privileged that Steven has agreed to take upon himself this prominent role, bringing to it his great experience as a global business leader, years of community involvement and the unparalleled Lowy Family tradition of generosity and commitment to the wellbeing of the People of Israel.”
Steven Lowy is a Principal of LFG, the private investment business and family office of the Lowy Family Group. For over 30 years he was an executive director of the global shopping centre company Westfield Corporation serving as co-Chief Executive Officer for many years prior to its sale in June 2018.
He is the non-executive Chairman of OneMarket Limited, director of the Lowy Institute, a director of the Lowy Medical Research Institute and President of Hakoah Club.
