Sound advice for Innovators
The Eden Project has hosted its end of year celebration, ‘Dinner with David’ at The White House in Melbourne’s St. Kilda.
Guest of honour was visiting US young entrepreneur David Cygielman, CEO and founder of Moishe House.
The intimate event allowed young Jewish innovators to gather together over wine and good food to hear David Cygielman talk on the topic of ‘Same, Same, But Completely Different: How Young Adult Engagement Has Changed’. David also shared some tips that he has learnt on his Moishe House journey, which now has 58 houses in 14 countries.
“Surround yourself with people who do not love you unconditionally. It is important to have critical feedback. Also, don’t sit on the fence too long; just do it. And most essentially, have fun. Love what you do!”, shared Cygielman.
Rebecca Davis, The Eden Project’s Project Manager, declared the evening a big success. “It was fantastic to have a room full of inspired young people, sharing their ideas and having big conversations with each other and David. Innovation breeds inspiration, and the room was oozing with it”, she said.
The Eden Project will begin their entrepreneur’s workshop series in February, followed closely by the opening of their first crowdfunding round in March.
