Smorgon quits top job with the Bulldogs

Melbourne businessman David Smorgon has fulfilled the promise made at the beginning of the AFL season marking it as his last as the Western Bulldogs’ president.

The charismatic 65-yr-0ld told J-Wire: “16 years is long enough. At the  2010 AGM I said this was my last term.”

He said that the highlight of his time at the club was the completion of the $31 m redevelopment of Whitten Oval.

Ha eadded: “The Lowlight losing 5 Prelim Finals.”
