In a landmark speech, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech last night endorsed

Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard

the establishing of a Palestinian state…conditional to the absolute existence of the State of Israel.

Smith told media that “there is now a basis for a peace process for negotiations to start.”

He strongly supported the moves made by the U.S. administration.

This week, Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard will leave on an overseas trip on which she will meet Secretary of State Hilary Clinton in Washington before traveling to Israel where she will hold high level talks with both the Israelis and the Palestinians. She will visit the PA in Ramallah.
