Six months of war with Hamas by the numbers
As Israel marks its sixth month of war against Hamas, the Israel Defence Forces released new stats regarding the conflict on Sunday.
According to the IDF, more than 12,000 terrorists from Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other groups have been killed in Gaza while more than 330 more have been killed in Lebanon and 420 in Judea and Samaria.
Another 4,600 Palestinian terrorists have been captured and interrogated. The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) has released videos from some interrogations in which Palestinians confess to committing rape, using hospitals, and receiving training in Iran.
The IDF also reported 9,100 rockets fired into Israel from Gaza, 3,100 from Lebanon and 35 from Syria.
Israel has carried out more than 32,000 airstrikes in Gaza and an additional 1,400 in Lebanon.
In Judea and Samaria, security forces have carried out over 6,000 counterterror operations since October 7. Of the 3,700 wanted Palestinians arrested, 1,600 are Hamas operatives.
To evacuate Gaza civilians, the army has sent 17 million voice recordings, 15.5 million text messages, dropped 9.3 million leaflets and made 100,000 phone calls.
Meanwhile, 604 Israeli soldiers have been killed since October 7, including 260 since the ground war began on Oct. 27. This includes 20 personnel killed by friendly fire, five people killed by irregular fire, and 16 in accidents.
In addition, 3,188 soldiers have been injured since October 7, of whom 1,550 were injured after the ground war began.
The IDF added that 300,000 reservists have been mobilized during the war.
At least 1,200 people were killed and 240 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the remaining 134 hostages, Israel recently declared 31 of them dead.
