The spirit of Shavuot has been brought to life at Melbourne’s Bialik College in the beautiful Kitchen Garden.

Year 12 students spent a lunchtime with their Prep buddies, assisting them with planting vegetable seedlings, learning about the concept of ‘companion planting’ and discussing the vegetables that are currently in season.

The students were surprised by the many treasures in the garden and thanks to the glorious sunshine on the day, a very enjoyable afternoon was had by all. After planting, the Year 12s students assisted the Preps to complete a book containing Shavuot-based activities.
