South Australian Labor senator Don Farrell has visited Jerusalem during his summer holiday, presenting a very special greeting to old friend and former ambassador to Australia Yuval Rotem.

Senator Farrell and his wife Dympha are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and have incorporated a visit to the holy sites in Israel during a holiday to mark their special day.

The Farrells visited old friends Yuval and Miri Rotem when in Jerusalem. Rotem returned to Israel in September following a five year tour of duty in Canberra. Senstor Farell presented the Rotems a copy of the iconic artwork “Charge at Beersheva”together with a framed signed greeting from “all your friends Down Under”. The list included current leader of the Opposition Bill SHorton, Shadow Attorney-General and Michael Danby, Labor MP for Melbourne Ports.
