Ian, who lives in Israel six months a year has two daughters living in the country. Ian was surprised when he  was met at the airport buy a representative from Keren Hayesod-UIA to welcome him to the country with flowers and a huge smile.

UIA NSW Shaliach Sagi Ben Yosef said that “Ian and Sara have been tremendous supporters of the UIA for many years and this was a small way of us recognising this momentous occasion in their lives. We pride ourselves on an organisation that feels like one big family so this was our way of recognising one of our own”.

Ian said that he was overwhelmed by the experience and was extremely touched by the wonderful gesture by the team at the UIA. “I have always been a supporter of the amazing work of the UIA and to now be on the receiving end is just fantastic.”

UIA-KH will assist in the absorption of over 30,000 Olim to Israel this year, many of whom arrive needing significant assistance with their integration.
