Senior journalists who returned from Israel this week will report on their findings at a public meeting in Sydney on December 4.
The journalists participated in the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies’ annual Journalists Mission to Israel. As part of an intensive and comprehensive study mission, they happened to be outside Gaza when the Hamas terrorist leader Ahmed Jabari was assassinated and the situation in Gaza erupted.  They immediately filed reports for their respective news outlets.
The journalists are: Simon Benson, national political editor of The Daily Telegraph; Judith Whelan, editor of the Saturday edition of the Sydney Morning Herald; and Brooke Corte, a presenter on Sky News and Sky News Business; and Michael Ebeid, managing director of SBS.
“This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from senior journalists who are at the coal-face,” said Board of Deputies chief executive officer Vic Alhadeff, who accompanied the journalists on the mission. “We urge members of the community to be there in numbers to hear their impressions.”
