Mount Scopus College has announced that two of its students have been awarded Premier’s VCE Awards.

Jasper Sherman, Rabbi James Kennard and Tali Hazan

Old Collegian Tali Hazan (class of 2021) and current Year 12 student Jasper Sherman received the awards based on their outstanding subject results in 2021:

  • Tali Hazan – Religion and Society
  • Jasper Sherman – Mathematical Methods

Premier’s Awards are presented to Victoria’s top students by the Department of Education and Training. Awards are based on students’ VCE results, with the number of awards determined by the number of students in each subject.

Principal Rabbi James Kennard said, “Mount Scopus is delighted and proud that two of our students have earned Premier’s Awards. These outstanding results are a fitting tribute to the hard work and ability of the students and the dedication, expertise and support of their teachers, who all worked tirelessly during another very challenging year in 2021.”

The Premier’s VCE Awards were presented on Wednesday at a special in-person ceremony held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
